Fusion journal February 6, 2009 This is a whole new adventure for us here at Fusion! With so many people having their own "Blogs", we decided it might be fun to dive into this new project and create an on-line journal. Our journal is meant to be a fun and interesting way to keep in touch with our customers and friends without being too serious and formal. Anyone who knows us personally would already know that we are very casual and LOVE to laugh and have fun, so there won't be anything too serious and profound being written here! I hope you come back often to check in on us to see what's new and interesting in our world. As always, feel free to send us an email with any questions, comments, or fun ideas. - Sheryl February 9, 2009 Well, we survived the 59th annual Perchville winter festival. (Check out www.tawas.com for more details). We had a great time at the store . Everyone was in great spirits and really enjoying the warmer 50 degree weather. It was so warm, that we actually opened our front door in the afternoon! We gave away 6 pairs of free earrings to people who's Perchville button numbers matched our list of 100 randomly drawn numbers. This was our first year participating in this event and it was so fun that I'm sure we'll be doing it again next year. We heard a lot of great comments from customers who were wishing that out of all the stores, they were wishing they would have won from ours! This confirms what I've known all along....that we have the best customers in the world! This was our 5th Perchville since we've been in business, and it was by far the best! - Sheryl February 10, 2009 It's going to be a beautiful day today with high temperatures in the 50's and lots of sun to top it off! This kind of weather just rejuvenates the soul and makes me feel alive again. It's fun to see all the new spring colors making their fashion debut, especially in the new OPI nail polish collection. I told Laurie (our resident "Chick at the Checkout", lol) that this newest spring collection of OPI was, in my opinion, the best overall collection that they've come out with in years. Come check it out and see what you think.... - Sheryl February 15th, 2009 We had a great Valentine weekend at the store. It's always so fun to see the guys out shopping. Today is the day of the big Daytona race, which is always a good excuse to veg out and fix some cool snacks! Tommorrow at Fusion, we'll be getting a new order of handbags and jewelry. It's always so fun to get all the new stuff! If you're in the area, be sure to stop in and see what's new! If you can't make it to the store, we should have it posted on the website in a couple of days. - Sheryl February 17, 2009 Today we are marking and displaying the new handbags, travel bags, and jewelry that arrived yesterday. It's always fun and exciting when the new stuff arrives...kind of like Christmas! I'm LOVING the new pastel striped handbag...I'm glad I received two of those, because I think I'll have to have one for myself! - Sheryl Wednesday, February 25, 2009 We have had some really great new customers in the store in the last couple of days. Their excitement over "discovering" us has really spiced up our daily routine around here! Here are two examples: -Yesterday there were two ladies who fell in love with our SwitchFlops, and took advantage of the great promotion we're having on them right now to stock up on all their favorite colors. One of the ladies is taking a trip to Cancun, and is excited about the fact that she can basically pack 6 different colored pairs of shoes in the same amount of space as it takes to pack 1 pair! It was a great reminder of what a great concept SwitchFlops is for those who travel! This same person was adamant that she couldn't wear flip-flops because it bothers her between her toes. I suggested that she try them on, because they are un-like any other flip-flops she has tried before. Once she put them on, she knew what I was talking about! If you think you can't wear flip-flops because they go between the toes, then you need to try SwitchFlops. The part between your toes is a soft piece of ribbon instead of a hard piece of plastic and they are VERY comfortable! -This morning we had a younger lady who was dropping off an item to be embroidered and while she was in the store she was admiring our display of Chamilia beads and made the comment that Chamilia was "Pimp"! I wasn't quite sure what that meant, but I could tell by her expression that this was a good thing! Ha ha! Tuesday, March 17, 2009 My mind is a blur today as I look at all our options of new items to bring into the store. There are so many things I want! I WANT IT ALL! We need to win the Lottery! We have been so busy stocking our shelves full of wonderful and new items, that I haven't even had time to update our Online Journal. Between the store and our son's baseball games, there just isn't much time to do a lot of writing! We have been receiving our fabulous line of spring clothing, and we're expecting much more as the summer months are fast approaching (thank goodness winter is over)! We've also been getting in so many new purses that we are actually running out of room to display them....but that is a fun problem to have! Our jewelry selection is fabulous and keeps getting bigger and better every year as we try to keep up with all the latest fashions and trends. Just like santa's elves, we are wrapping gifts and singing along to Christmas carols in anticipation of the big day. We've been stocking up on a lot of different kinds of jewelry, handbags, travel bags and of course the ever popular Chamilia beads.
